Apply For A Grant

The Michigan Jaycees Foundation, chartered in 1983, works to contribute to the welfare of the State of Michigan by supporting projects managed by the Michigan Junior Chamber and Local Michigan Jaycee Chapters.

The Michigan Jaycees Foundation anticipates granting funds up to $5,000 annually.

  The Foundation will look most favorably upon projects that:
  • Impact the UN Millennium Development Goals as adopted by Junior Chamber International (JCI)
  • Impact the greatest number of people consistent with the Jaycees’ philosophy.
  • Are Capital in nature (g., bricks and mortar, equipment) and/or seek to improve the efficiency and productivity (e.g., technology) of nonprofits.

Grant recipients must be registered 501(c)3 organizations or the recognized Jaycee Organizations in Michigan.

  The Michigan Jaycees Foundation generally will not fund:
  • Contingency funds or operational funds.
  • Grants for religious or political purposes, or for direct use by individu
  • The same organization in consecutive
  • Multiple-year grant

A completed Grant Application Form, along with requested documentation, should be submitted to:

The Foundation Grants Committee will review all applications and submit recommendations to the Board of Trustees.  The Board of Trustees will vote on all final funding decisions. Responses will be provided by the Grants Committee to all applicants based on the timeline outlined below.

  Timeline:
  • April 15th, August 15th, December 15th, – Deadline for Grant Application Applications must be received in the Michigan Junior Chamber office or by email by 5 p.m. ET to be considered.
  • Within 2 Weeks – Grants Committee Review
  • At Next Board of Trustees Meeting (or within 4 weeks)– Recommendations and Awarding of Fund
